Viktor Rossi

Viktor Rossi (born October 31, 1968 in Bern , Canton Bern ; legal resident in Bern and Pietravairano ) is a Swiss federal executive. The member of the Green Liberal Party Switzerland (GLP) took up the post of Vice Chancellor of the Swiss Confederation on May 1, 2019 .

biography

Rossi attended primary school and secondary school in Bern in the canton of Bern , completed an apprenticeship as a chef from 1984 to 1987 , attended the commercial high school (type E) at the Humboldtianum private school in Bern until 1990 , before studying economics at the University of Bern in 1996 with a diploma as a teacher for economics and law (mag. rer. pol.). In 2015 she received a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Law from the University of Bern.

After completing his studies, he first taught at the commercial vocational school in Biel (later Education Formation Biel Bienne BFB) as a business teacher before becoming director of the vocational school in 1999 . At the same time, he was Vice President of the Commercial Rectors' Conference of the Canton of Bern (KRKB) from 2004 to 2009 and from 2009 he took over the presidency.

Rossi joined the Federal Chancellery in October 2010 and headed the Business Administration and Logistics section. From 2015 he was the representative of Federal Chancellor Walter Thurnherr as the client of the key ICT project GENOVA.

In December 2018, the Federal Councilor elected Viktor Rossi as Vice Chancellor of the Swiss Confederation. Rossi took office on May 1, 2019 and has since headed the Federal Council department of the Federal Chancellery .

Viktor Rossi is German / Italian mother tongue . He is married and has two children.
