Villa Allende is a town in the department of Colón in central Argentina , located immediately northwest of the city of Córdoba in the province of Córdoba of the same name . It has about 25,000 inhabitants.
Attractions
The most important historical buildings are the monastery of San Alfonso from the 17th century and the church of Nuestra Señora del Carmen .
economy
Villa Allende is heavily tied to the city of Cordoba and functions as one of its most affluent suburbs; many city refugees have settled there. Nevertheless, it too has to struggle with poverty, as the slum Las Polinesias shows. The city generally lives mainly from the gastronomy, trade and other services, it has a business center and several restaurants, night clubs and discos. In addition, some industrial companies have their headquarters in the west of the city.
