Villa Antonie Henrici

description

The Villa is including Art Nouveau - colored glass under monument protection . It is a two-storey building on the south side of Augustusweg, immediately adjacent to Villa Sonnenhof on the south-west corner of Eduard-Bilz-Platz.

Because of the hillside location, the building has a basement level facing south towards the garden . On top of it sits a flat and flattened hipped roof , covered with slate, which has a single hatch in the middle towards the street as well as towards the garden .

The three-axis street view is symmetrical, with a single-storey entrance porch in the middle. The windows framed by walls have horizontal roofs. The veranda on the right-hand side of the house is now two-story due to the addition of stories in 1933, the wooden veranda on the left-hand side with an exit on top has Art Nouveau glazing.

history

Henrici had a simple villa built for himself in 1898, characteristic of the architecture of the Ziller brothers . At the beginning of the First World War, major renovations were carried out at the owner's expense in order to convert the building into a home for soldiers in need of recreation, whereupon she donated it to the community in 1915.

In 1933 the architect Albert Patitz extended the right veranda.
