The Villa Parkstrasse 2 in Dresden was a villa built by Otto Grahl in 1869 . It was destroyed in 1945, the ruins cleared in the 1950s. Today the property is undeveloped.

description

The building, which was located on the southwest corner of the confluence with Goethestrasse (today Gret-Palucca-Strasse), cited the Villa Rosa von Semper in both plan and elevation . Inside, the building had a two-story central room illuminated by a skylight. The triumphal arch motif adorning the main view from Goethestrasse quoted the Old Masters Picture Gallery .

The two-story building had an embossed basement, smooth facades and a hipped roof on top. The facades with strongly carved central projections (other corners and the corners of the building were colossal pilasters) were faced with sandstone.

The ground floor showed arched windows, each with a richly decorated aedicula : These consisted of columns, half-columns and pilasters on the side of the window, with a roof over the window with a flat gable and straight cornices.

The front facade on Goethestrasse had a length of five window axes, the side facade was only three axes long.

The villa on the corner of Goethestrasse was based on Hela's model for the villa at Altenzeller Strasse 50 in Dresden.

The villa was destroyed in 1945 and cleared in the early 1950s. Today the property is undeveloped and belongs to the Seevorstadt-Ost retirement home .
