The rental villa at Rennerbergstraße 9 is located in the Niederlößnitz district of Radebeul in Saxony . From 1939 on, the chemist and professor of the Dresden University Institute for Color Chemistry Walter König and his wife, who also owned the house, lived on the upper floor .

The two-storey rental villa , which is listed as a historical monument, has an asymmetrical floor plan with a rubble stone base and a flattened, protruding hipped roof . In the street view, on the right, there is a side elevation with a half-hip rafter gable. The same risalit is in the left side view. The right side view shows the massive veranda , which has been extended to two floors, as well as the entrance porch. The facade has plaster structures, the windows have roofs and stucco decor.

history

The house was built in 1901 by the owner and contractor Ferdinand Luther from Serkowitz , based on a design probably by the Große brothers . In 1911 the city chief accountant a. D. Carl Friedrich Kegel the approval for the extension on the back, which was carried out by the Serkowitz builder Wilhelm Eisold . In 1938 the veranda was increased.

From 1939, Walter König (1878–1964), chemist and professor at the Institute for Color Chemistry at the Technical University of Dresden , who is buried in the Radebeul-West cemetery, lived there.
