The Villa de Teror is a RoPax ferry operated by the shipping company Naviera Transcantabrica from Madrid. Originally, the new ferry was commissioned by the Viking Line under the project name Viking ADCC ( ADCC stands for All Seasons Day Cruising and Commuting ).
history
The ship was ordered on January 29, 2007 by the Viking Line from IZAR Construcciones Navales. It was supposed to replace the Rosella on the route between Mariehamn and Kapellskär .
On May 6, 2008 the ship was laid down. Due to delays in construction, Viking Line withdrew from the contract on February 8, 2010.
The ship was launched on 25 May 2013 from the stack . In June 2013 the ship was towed to the Teis shipyard in Vigo.
Trasmediterránea bought the shell in the summer of 2017 . The ship should be completed by 2018 under the name Villa de Teror and was finally delivered on June 19, 2019.
Technical data and equipment
The ship is powered by two Wärtsilä - diesel engines of the type 8L46F with a total of 20,000 kW driven performance. The cruising speed is given as 22 kn . Catalysts are provided for exhaust gas cleaning.
The hull of the ship is reinforced with ice ( ice class 1A).
