The villa rustica in the district of Schambach , a district of Treuchtlingen in the central Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen in Bavaria , is located on the northeastern outskirts of Weinbergshof and about 2050 meters west of the church of St. Willibald von Schambach. The villa rustica is a protected ground monument (find no. D-5-7031-0118).

The location of the villa had long been known from reading finds of Roman ceramics . However, it was only recorded in aerial archeology in 1982, whereby a main building, three auxiliary buildings and a small bathing building were identified. Due to land consolidation work , investigations of the main building were necessary in 1983/84: between two tower-like corner buildings, a columned hall formed the face of the building towards the valley. The approximately 35 × 25 meter large facility had its living and utility rooms on the narrow sides. There was a covered portico at the rear. The inner courtyard partly had a screed floor .
