César Osvaldo Villaluz Martínez (born July 18, 1988 in Mexico City ), usually shortened to César Villaluz , is a Mexican football player . He is used as a right wing midfielder or right wing striker .
career
In the club
César Villaluz started playing football at the age of four, with a club in the Guerrero district of Mexico City, where he was born. In 2000 he then joined the CD Cruz Azul , where he was taken on in the first senior team in 2006 and from then on regularly played in the Primera División and the CONCACAF Champions League .
In the national team
César Villaluz has played for the Mexican youth team since he was 13. He then took part in the 2005 World Cup with the U-17s . He scored three goals in five games and won the title with his team. Two years later he also played in the Junior World Cup in 2007 , but remained in four games without scoring and failed with the U-20 in the quarterfinals to Argentina. Nevertheless, in August of the same year he was appointed to the squad of the senior national team for the first time and made his debut for them in the friendly against Colombia , which was lost 1-0. He scored his first goal for the Mexican national team on October 17, 2007 in another friendly match, this time in a 3-2 home defeat against Guatemala . He finally played his first two competitive games in June 2008, in the second round of qualifying for the 2010 World Cup against Belize .
