Herman Vilhelm "Ville" Mattila (born March 9, 1903 in Haapavesi , † July 11, 1987 in Haapavesi) was a Finnish cross-country skier .
Career
Mattila won the silver medal in the military patrol run at the 1924 Winter Olympics in Chamonix together with August Eskelinen , Heikki Hirvonen and Väinö Bremer . In 1927, he finished third over 30km at the Lahti Ski Games . In the following year he took tenth place over 18 km at the Olympic Winter Games in St. Moritz and fourth place over 50 km at the Lahti Ski Games.
