Vilmos Vanczák (born June 20, 1983 in Miskolc ) is a former Hungarian football player .

Vanczák began his professional career at Diósgyőri VTK . Then he moved to the 20-time Hungarian champion Újpest Budapest . In 2003, Fóti SE was loaned for half a season . In the 2006/07 season he played in Belgium for VV St. Truiden before moving to Switzerland for FC Sion in the summer of 2007 . Vanczák was considered to be extremely strong at the top. In 254 Raiffeisen Super League games , he was able to score 31 goals as a defender . He also won the Swiss Cup three times with Sion . In 2016 Vanczák moved back to his native Hungary and joined Puskás Akadémia FC . Since 2018 he has only been active there for the club's second team.

National team

Vanczák made his debut in Hungary's senior team on November 30, 2004 in a game against Slovakia . By his last nomination in 2015, he had played 78 games in which he scored four times.
