Vimbodí i Poblet is a Catalan municipality in the province of Tarragona in northeastern Spain . It is located in the Comarca Conca de Barberà .

Vimbodí has ​​always been closely associated with the Cistercian monastery of Poblet . It was founded in 1151 by Raimund Berengar IV , Count of Barcelona on the area of ​​today's town.

Until 2006 the place was only called "Vimbodí".
