Vincent Warnier (born October 14, 1967 in Hayange ) is a French organist .

Life

Vincent Warnier studied music at the Strasbourg Conservatory (organ class with Daniel Roth and André Stricker ), at the Rueil-Malmaison Conservatory (organ class with Marie-Claire Alain ) and at the Paris Conservatory (together with Michel Chapuis and Olivier Latry ). Here he also won several prizes.

In 1992 he received the 1st prize for the interpretation of the Chartres Grand Prix.

In 1995 he was appointed co-titular organist of the Reformed Church of the Annunciation in Paris. In 1997 he became co-titular organist in St-Étienne-du-Mont in Paris (alongside Thierry Escaich ). In the same year he also followed Pierre Camonin on the Théodore Jacquot organ in Verdun Cathedral . He has also been a member of the Lyon National Orchestra since September 2013.

Concert tours have taken him to Japan and European countries. As an Associate Professor, he teaches at the University of Poitiers and the College Stanislas de Paris . He is also professor of music at the Lycee Racine in Paris .

Warnier also makes radio appearances and works as a columnist.

Discography

Vincent Warnier's discography includes around 20 recordings ranging from baroque music to modern literature. Since 2002 his recordings have been released by the “Intrada” label.
