Vincenzo Crocitti

Vincenzo Crocitti (born July 16, 1949 in Rome , † September 29, 2010 there ) was an Italian actor .

Life

Crocitti, from a Calabrian family, made his first films in the 1960s. He made his debut under Marco Ferreri in 1964 and was an assistant editor for a few years. At the beginning of the following decade he established himself as a comedic actor in supporting roles, for which his appearance - with a big nose and an engaging smile - predestined him.

In 1977 he played Alberto Sordi's son in Un borghese piccolo piccolo , for which he was awarded the David di Donatello and a silver ribbon . Dissatisfied with unattractive film offers, Crocitti turned to stage work and worked with Giorgio Strehler (1981/1982 in La grande magia ). In 1995/1006 he celebrated great success with the comedy Uomini stregata della luna , for which he worked with Pino Ammendola and Nicola Pistoia . Also in the 1990s he increased his involvement in television and played a. a. in the successful series Un medico in famiglia (as “Dottore Mariano”), Carabinieri and Don Matteo . His filmography includes around 70 titles.

For his role as the son of Alberto Sordi in Un borghese piccolo piccolo (1977), Crocitti was awarded the Nastro d'Argento and the David di Donatello .

He is best known to German audiences for his supporting role in Oedipussi (1988).
