Vincenzo La Scola

Vincenzo La Scola (born January 26, 1958 in Palermo , † April 15, 2011 in Mersin ) was an Italian opera singer ( tenor ). He was also active in the field of light music. In 2000 he was the UNICEF ambassador .

Life

After studying singing with Arrigo Pola , Carlo Bergonzi and Rodolfo Celletti, he made his debut in 1983 at the Teatro Regio di Parma in the role of Ernesto in Donizetti's Don Pasquale . In a career spanning more than 25 years, he has preferred to sing in the Italian field in operas by Giuseppe Verdi , Giacomo Puccini , Gaetano Donizetti and Vincenzo Bellini . During a stay in Turkey on April 15, 2011, at the age of 53, he suddenly died of a heart attack.
