Vinyl Digita l (also known as VinDig ) is an online shop for records and other sound carriers. The company has also been operating as an independent music label since 2012 and is primarily active in the hip-hop , rap , beat art and electronic sectors . In addition to digital and vinyl releases and new editions by established artists, the label also offers new, talented musicians a platform for the publication of vinyl, tape and digital releases.
history
The company was founded in 2011 by Tobias Wolf-Mühlburger as a record mail order company in Bingen am Rhein. Wolf-Mühlburger is the managing partner of Vinyl Digital. In 2014 the company relocated to Mörschbach in the Hunsrück.
In the beginning, Vinyl Digital was mainly active in buying and selling rare and special records. From this, a mail order business for vinyl sound carriers developed in a short time. The underlying idea was to transfer the special character and sound of the record into the digital realm. For this purpose, the records were digitized in a complex process and offered in addition to the physical sound carrier. With this idea, Vinyl Digital was one of the first providers in the digital music trade in Germany. In 2012 the company also became active as a music label and released Fiva & Das Phantom Orchester - Die Stadt Belongs Again Mir (Headphone Recordings) exclusively on vinyl. Shortly afterwards, the label was able to sign the Chilean producer Brous One as its first own artist with the release of his debut album Un Momento En El Tiempo .
In the following years VinDig u. a. with artists like Blumentopf , Haftbefehl , DJ Krush , Joey Bada $$ and Wun Two . The instrumental series EXPEDITion , which has been realized regularly with various beat producers since 2015, is also popular in the scene .
In 2016, Prezident entered the German album charts with his album Limbus 13 and thus achieved his first major chart success with Vinyl Digital.
