Fiva [ ˈfaɪva ] (* 1978 as Nina Sonnenberg in Munich ) formerly Fiva MC , is a German rapper , presenter and author . Together with DJ Radrum [ ˈrædrʌm ] (bourgeois Sebastian Schwarz), she founded the label headphone recordings in 2005. She is a radio presenter on FM4 ( ORF ) and was a television presenter on ZDFkultur .
music
Fiva first came into contact with German rap in 1995 and then practiced quietly for four years until she made her first freestyle appearance in Munich's Flava Club 70 in 1999 . A year later she went on tour with MC Rene through Germany, Austria and Switzerland . In 2001 Fiva MC and Radrum signed their first record deal with the Hamburg label Buback. In 2001 she recorded her first single Status Quo with Radrum at Buback and her debut album Spiegelschrift , which was released in autumn 2002. The debut album was produced by Edward Sizzerhand , among others .
In spring and December 2005 she toured with Fettes Brot .
In autumn 2005 she founded her own label headphone recordings together with DJ Radrum , on which the second album headphone was released in November 2006 .
Rotwild appeared in February 2009 . Because Radrum was busy with his graduation, Flip from Texta produced the album and also took care of the beats.
Her fourth studio album was released on February 24, 2012, entitled The city is mine again . It was produced by the Munich artists Rüde Linhof ( Sportfreunde Stiller ) and Paul Reno (formerly Emil Bulls ). Fiva appears with a band as "Fiva & Das Phantom Orchester". In September 2012 they took part in the Bundesvision Song Contest ( Pro7 ) for Bavaria and landed on 14th place.
On June 20, 2014, the studio album Everything is lit was released . Guests on the album were u. a. 5 / 8erl in Ehr'n , Bernadette La Hengst and Peter Balboa from Sportfreunde Stiller.
In 2016, she and the Jazzrausch Bigband presented her current album Don't be afraid of legends on a tour.
Spoken Word / Poetry Slam
Fiva is also successful on the poetry slam stages. She took third place in the individual competition at the German-speaking Slam Championships in 2002, and in 2004 in Leipzig, she and her team Tha Boyz with tha Girlz in Tha Back (with Nora-Eugenie Gomringer and Mia Pittroff) became the best slam team in the German-speaking region chosen. In autumn 2007 she published a book with spoken word CD entitled Klub Karamell .
Nina Sonnenberg aka Fiva gives spoken word and literature workshops for young people. Her work as an author led her a. a. already to the Poetry Festival Oslo (Norway), to the European Lebanese Rap Festival (Beirut / Lebanon), to Israel and Palestine and to Siberia (Barnaul / Omsk / Novosibirsk).
In 2010 he was engaged as a music theater writer and director at the Kiel Opera . Together with the choreographer Mario Schröder and the dramaturge Beate Anders she staged the “ Nibelungen ”. Sonnenberg rewrote “Die Nibelungen” from the perspective of Kriemhild and took on the role of the narrator.
Radio moderation
Since 2007 Nina Sonnenberg has been moderating on the Austrian channel FM4 ( ORF ) z. B. “Fivas Ponyhof” (music broadcast, weekly) and “Unter Palmen” or “Unter Tannen” (talk show, seasonal); earlier programs she moderated were Zündfunk ( Bayern 2 ) and “Fivas Reim auf die Welt” / “Das Leben ist ein Scheibe” on on3radio ( BR ).
TV moderation
From May 2011, Nina Sonnenberg presented the program “Der Marker” under her real name on the now discontinued ZDFkultur station , which was nominated for the Grimme Prize in January 2012 . She also reported on European theater festivals with her series “Theater: Ein Fest” for ZDFkultur, moderated the “ZDFkultur Poetry Slam” together with Jo Schück and reported live for ZDFkultur on music festivals across Europe. From September 2012 she also moderated the young culture magazine zdf.kulturpalast , alternating with Pegah Ferydoni , which was shown on Thursday at 8:15 pm on ZDFkultur and on Saturdays at 7:25 pm on 3sat ; the magazine was nominated for the Grimme Prize in 2013. The show was later broadcast on 3Sat on Saturdays at 7.30 p.m. as Kulturpalast and will be discontinued with the show on December 1, 2018.
