Vincent Müller

Vinzenz Müller (born February 4, 1875 in Esternberg , † December 20, 1958 in Wels ) was an Austrian teacher and politician.

Professional activities

Vinzenz Müller, son of a teacher, attended secondary school and the teacher training college in Linz and became a teacher in St. Stefan, later Ried. He taught in Gaspoldshofen for five years and in Neunkirchen near Lambach for 32 years. After 1925 he was senior teacher and director of the boys' elementary school Tummelplatz in Linz. He also worked as an editor for the Tagblatt and the Oberdonau-Zeitung.

Political career

In 1907 Müller became a member of the Social Democratic Workers' Party (SDAP). From November 18, 1918 to May 15, 1919 he was a member of the Provisional National Assembly (SDAP). From June 23, 1919 to May 18, 1925 he was SDAP member of the Upper Austrian state parliament (XII. Electoral period) . When the number of members in the Upper Austrian state parliament was reduced in 1925, he voluntarily renounced his mandate and was henceforth a teacher.
