Viola new

Viola Neu (* 1964 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ) is a German political scientist . She works as an election and political party researcher at the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS).

Viola Neu studied political science , public law and German studies in Mannheim from 1984 to 1991 . Her master's thesis , a study of the voting behavior of emigrants , was awarded the Karin Islinger Prize from the University of Mannheim. From 1991 to 1992 she was managing director of the research center for social developments there .

She has worked for the KAS since 1992, initially as a research assistant, later as head of the department for empirical political research and since 2003 as coordinator for election and party research in Berlin.

In 2003, Eckhard Jesse at the TU Chemnitz with a study on the PDS made her Dr. phil. PhD . Since 2006 she has been on the board of de'ge'pol - German Society for Political Advice eV
