Virginia Euwer Wolff
Virginia Euwer Wolff (* 1937 in Portland , Oregon ) is an American writer .
Wolff studied English and graduated with a bachelor's degree in 1959. She then taught at elementary and high schools for many years. She writes socially critical youth novels . In 2001 she received the US National Book Award for True Believer .
