Virginijus Pikturna

Virginijus Pikturna (born March 23, 1961 in Jurjonai , Klaipėda Rajongemeinde ) is a Lithuanian politician.

Life

After graduating from the 1st Middle School in Palanga , Virginijus Pikturna graduated from Lietuvos žemės ūkio akademija in 1984 with a degree in forestry as an engineer . In 1984 he worked as a forester in the Kretinga Forestry Office . From 1985 to 1990 he was Komsomol secretary in the district of Kretinga . From 1985 to 1990 he was a member of the Lithuanian Cultural Foundation and participated in the activities of the Lithuanian Green Movement. From 1990 to 1992 he was a deputy at the Seimas . He then worked for Lietuvos investicijų bankas , headed by Vytautas Dudėnas , until 1993, when he emigrated to the west. From 1997 to 2007 he worked in Prague and later in the USA. He lives in Washington, DC

Virginijus Pikturna was a member of Lietuvos liberalų sąjunga .

Virginijus Pikturna is married and has one daughter.
