Viserba is an Italian tourist town and fraction of the municipality of Rimini in the Emilia-Romagna region with 8556 inhabitants.

Viserba is 4 km north of the historic center of Rimini. Directly on the coast of the Adriatic Sea , the place is only two meters above sea level. Viserba borders directly on the municipalities of Viserbella and Rivabella.

Surname

There are various theories about the origin of the name. When Julius Caesar arrived on horseback in today's Viserba, he is said to have said: vidi herbam (Latin: I've seen grass) or vix herbam (Latin: hardly any grass).

Sports

The volleyball team is called Greenline Volley Viserba and plays in the B1 league. Viserba's basketball team is called Taz Viserba, was founded in 2002 and plays in the NBU league.
