Vitalina "Vita" Nel (born December 11, 1975 in Zaporozhye , Ukrainian Socialist Soviet Republic ) is a South African beach volleyball player of Soviet origin.
Career
Nel completed her first open tournament of the FIVB series with Palesa Sekonyana in Cape Town in 2005 and came in 25th. In 2007, Nel / Sekonyana competed at the Espinho Open and two Grand Slams and finished in 41st place. In 2008 Nel formed a new duo with the native German Judith Augoustides . Nel / Augoustides each played four open tournaments and four grand slams. The best result was 33rd place. They then took part in the Olympic Games in Beijing . In their group they met the German European champions Goller / Ludwig and the later bronze medalists Xue Chen / Zhang Xi from China. They lost their three games and were eliminated after the preliminary round. Then Nel ended her career as well as Augoustides.
