Vivian Hösch (born March 18, 1991 ) is a visually impaired German disabled athlete in the field of Nordic skiing and biathlon .

Life

Hösch attended the Berthold-Gymnasium in Freiburg , where she obtained her Abitur . From September 2010 she did her training as an administrative clerk at the city of Freiburg. She worked there until 2018.

Career

Hösch, who is blind from birth, gained her first international successes in the World Cup in the 2011/12 season, when she just missed the podium at the season finale in Vuokatti with fourth place in the 12.5 km biathlon. At the World Cup in Cable 2013 she won her first World Cup race over 5 km. At the World Cup final in Sochi in 2014, she managed to place on the podium again with third place in the 6 km biathlon sprint in skating technique. At her first Winter Paralympic Games in 2014 in the same place, she finished sixth in cross-country skiing over 5 km and fifth in biathlon over 6 km.
