Vladlen Chernomor (* 1978 in Tashkent , Uzbekistan ) is an Uzbek violinist . Since April 18, 2009 he has been concertmaster of the Strasbourg Philharmonic .

Life

He received his first violin lessons from 1985 to 1996 with Nathan Mendelssohn at the "Uspensky School" in Tashkent, the music high school for musically gifted children attached to the Tashkent Conservatory . Since 1989, Chernomor has appeared on television and radio programs with the Uzbek State Orchestra. After winning various prizes including a. 2nd prize in the "International Youth Violin Competition" in Alma-Ata ( Kazakhstan ) and 1st prize at the 7th National Violin Competition in Tashkent (Uzbekistan) - concerts in the Soviet Union and throughout Europe followed.

In 1996 Chernomor began his violin studies at the University of Music in Würzburg with Grigori Zhislin and Conrad von der Goltz . He also attended master classes with Yehudi Menuhin , Zakhar Bron , Victor Tretyakov and Yuri Koscharsky . Since 1999 he has continued his studies at the Cologne University of Music with Victor Tretyakov, where he received his diploma in 2003 and graduated with the concert exam in 2007.

Since the beginning of his studies, Chernomor has given concerts all over Europe with orchestras such as the " Düsseldorfer Kammerorchester ", the Junge Philharmonie Köln , the Israel Soloist Ensemble , the Brandenburgische Philharmonie Frankfurt / Oder ", the Hofer Symphoniker or the Klassischen Philharmonie Bonn . Chernomor was a scholarship holder of the “Pro Musica Viva Maria Strecker-Daelen Foundation” ( Mainz ) and the “ Friedrich Ebert Foundation ” ( Bonn ). In 2005 he won the international violin competition "Julio Cardona" in Portugal .

In 2006 he made his solo debut with orchestra in the Berlin Philharmonic . Chernomor plays a violin made by Italian violin maker Giovanni Battista Guadagnini in 1749.
