Vocer ( spelling : VOCER ) is an online magazine that deals with the changes in journalism due to digitization . The magazine was founded by Stephan Weichert , Alexander von Streit , Leif Kramp , Janko Tietz and Robert Bongen and has been online since January 31, 2012.

profile

Vocer is operated by the non-profit association for media and journalism criticism (VfMJ) founded in Berlin in 2009. The aim of the association and the online magazine is to increase the quality of journalistic reporting on media and journalism. A large number of well-known media scientists, journalists and politicians have already written articles for Vocer, including Wolfgang Blau , Nikolaus Brender , Dirk von Gehlen , Judith Rakers and Gabriele Hooffacker . Through the Vocer Innovation Medialab scholarship program initiated in 2013 under the former managing director Carolin Neumann , the online magazine has meanwhile developed into a think tank and is now focusing on making young journalistic projects visible. The editorial manager of the site was Mark Heywinkel until July 2017 , followed by René Bucken.

In June 2014 took place in Hamburg which hosted by Vocer media conference VOCER Innovation Day for the first time in the mirror instead.
