Vogelsanger und Maurer was a Swiss architecture firm based in Rüschlikon from 1916 to 1935 , which built a number of notable business and school buildings as well as other public buildings in the canton of Zurich. The partners were Hans Vogelsanger (1883–1964) and Albert Maurer (1889–1935). The current legal successor to the office is S + M Architects in Zurich and Geneva.

Buildings and Architectural Attitude

After the early buildings based on the local building tradition and the strictly neo-classical Liguster schoolhouse, buildings such as the post office in Oerlikon, the Otto Herter picture gallery, a filigree skeleton building, and the community hall in Wipkingen, whose tower towering next to the broad main building, carefully followed Represented Zurich's first skyscraper .

The office was also known for its villa architecture. They succeeded in setting idiosyncratic architectural accents in their buildings, which made their buildings highly recognizable.
