Voglmühle is a district of the municipality of Kirchberg im Wald in the Regen district in Bavaria . The wasteland is in the Reichertsried district , about 500 m south of the outskirts of Kirchberg im Wald on a field path, the Gunthersteig, about 3.5 km north of Guntherstein in the Bavarian Forest Nature Park .
history
Voglmühle was a water-powered flour and wood mill until the 1960s . The operating channels are already shown in their current form on a map of the region from the 18th century. The system is described in the book The Water Power of Bavaria in 1907. At the end of the 1960s the farm was foreclosed and stood empty for a long time in the following decades, so that most of the farm fell into disrepair. The property has been in operation again since the 1990s. On the edge of the Ruselhochmoore biological landscape maintenance is carried out with donkeys.
