Vojtech Pokorny
Vojtech Pokorny (born June 16, 1979 in Prague ) is a cameraman for documentaries and feature films living in Germany .
Life
Vojtech Pokorny was born on June 16, 1979 in Prague. His parents are the writer Iva Procházková and the director Ivan Pokorný . Vojtech Pokorny grew up in Prague until he was four, then emigrated to Vienna with his parents and sister for political reasons. He spent his youth in Bremen. After the fall of the Wall, he returned to Prague with his parents, where he graduated from the SMAS Management School in 1998. This was followed by a one-year language trip to the east coast of the USA.
After a permanent job in the IT industry in Amsterdam and as a TV editor in Hamburg, Vojtech Pokorny began his studies at the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin in 2002 and received his diploma (specializing in direction / camera) with the full-length ZDF- Documentary Amiland . During his studies Vojtech Pokorny already worked as a freelance cameraman and director for TV and cinema productions, which found their audiences at international film festivals and on television and were also awarded. In 2008 he founded the production platform Pictures-in-Process .
In 2011, Vojtech Pokorny initially worked as a digital image consultant for P + S Technik GmbH on an international level. In the summer of 2012 Vojtech Pokorny combined his creative work as a cameraman and his work as a technical consultant and supervisor under the umbrella of Pictures-in-Process .
Pokorny lives in Munich . He has Czech and Austrian citizenship. He is married and has one child.
