Ivan Pokorný
Ivan Pokorný (born December 12, 1952 in Prague ) is a Czech director , actor and screenwriter .
Life
He graduated from the DAMU Theater School in Prague in 1975 and then worked as a freelance actor and director. He spent the years from 1983 to 1995 in political exile in Austria and Germany, where he mainly worked as a theater director. After he returned to the Czech Republic, the focus of his directing activities was on cooperation with Czech television but also with TV Nova , MDR , ARD , KI.KA , and NDR .
In 2002 Ivan Pokorny shot his first feature film ("Abduction Home"). He also took part in journalistic projects and directed television theater productions.
He lives with the author Iva Procházková .
