Vol. III: Hell's Likely is the second studio album by the Australian hard / stoner rock band Mammoth Mammoth . It was released on November 23, 2012 via Napalm Records .

Origin and background

For the album, the band composed seven songs within three days. A few weeks later, the musicians recorded the seven songs in Toyland and Goatsound Studios in Melbourne with producer Jason Fuller, bassist for the band Blood Duster . In Australia, Vol. III: Hell's Likely was released on June 1, 2012. Napalm Records released the album on November 23, 2012 with the five tracks from the debut EP Vol. 1 - Mammoth Mammoth .

For the song Go one was music video rotated. The shooting took place in the forest area The Black Spur, which had been destroyed by a large fire a short time before . Another video was shot for Weapon of Mass Self Destruction , which contains numerous clips from 1970s porn films . However, Internet portals such as Facebook and Vimeo have removed the video. A third video was shot for the song Sitting Pretty .

Robert Fröwein from the online magazine Stormbringer described the first three songs as a “holy triumvirate for beard- wearing flannel shirt lovers with a sure taste in music” and gave the album four out of five points. Frank Wilkens from the online magazine Metalnews wrote in his review that Mammoth Mammoth have " not reinvented the wheel ", but have "put some great rims on it", for which he awarded 5.5 out of seven points. For Walter Scheurer from the online magazine Metal.de , the album "comes out of the boxes without real hit candidates", without disappointment. Scheurer awarded six out of ten points.

The song Let's Roll was used in the soundtrack of the Australian horror film The Loved Ones - Pretty in Blood .
