Volchart Meier

Volchart Meier (born August 27, 1761 in Bremen ; † April 9, 1811 in Bremen) was a lawyer and Bremen senator / councilor.

biography

Meier was the son of Senator Heinrich Hermann Meier (1730–1782). He was the uncle of Senator Justin Friedrich Wilhelm Iken (1785–1866) .

He completed his school days in Bremen, from 1778 at the Illustre grammar school in Bremen . From 1779 he studied law at the University of Rinteln , from 1780 at the University of Göttingen and from 1782 at the University of Marburg . He received his doctorate in Marburg in 1783 as Dr. jur.
From 1787 to 1811 (†) he was the successor to Caspar Meier Bremen Senator.
