Volkan Özcan (born July 22, 1986 in Izmir ) is a Turkish football player .

Career

Özcan started with club football in the youth department of İzmir Telekomspor and moved to the youth of Petkimspor in 2000 . In 2003, they were accepted into the professional squad and slowly introduced to the team. After two years he moved to the traditional club Göztepe Izmir . In 2007 he left this club and joined Hacettepe SK . After he sat on the bench for half a season without a stint, he was loaned to the second division Giresunspor for the second half of the season .

In the summer of 2008 he moved to the second division Diyarbakırspor . Here he and his team achieved direct promotion to the Süper Lig through the runner-up in the TFF 1st Lig . Despite this success, he left the club at the end of the season and went to the second division Karşıyaka SK . Here you got to the relegation final of the TFF 1st Lig and missed promotion to the Süper Lig in the last instance.

For the 2010/11 season he went to league rivals Çaykur Rizespor and also reached the play-offs with this club. Here they were eliminated in the semifinals.

The next season Özcan began with the third division Altay Izmir , but switched to the second division Kayseri Erciyesspor during the winter break . After this success he left Erciyesspor in the summer of 2013 for third division Göztepe Izmir . After half a season at Göztepe, Özcan moved within the city to the second division club Bucaspor .

In the summer of 2014 he was hired by the second division club Orduspor . In November 2014 he left this club prematurely.
