Volkan Akyıldız (born February 23, 1995 in Hohenems , Austria ) is a Turkish soccer player .

Career

Akyıldız started his career at FC Götzis , where he played until 2009. He later also played for FC St. Gallen in Switzerland .

In 2014 he came to Turkey , where he played at Trabzon Faroz Yalispor . In the summer of 2014 he moved to the third division team Ofspor . He made his debut for Ofspor in the TFF 2. Lig in March 2015 when he came on as a substitute for İbrahim Şahin on matchday 31 of the 2014/15 season against TKİ Tavşanlı Linyitspor in the 88th minute .

In summer 2015 he left Turkey and moved to Switzerland for FC Au-Berneck . During the winter break of the 2016/17 season, he returned to Austria, where he joined the regional league team VfB Hohenems . Akyıldız scored eight goals in eleven games for Hohenems.

For the 2017/18 season he switched to the amateurs of the Bundesliga club SCR Altach . Up until the winter break, he played 19 times for Altach II, but only failed to score in four games and scored a total of 27 goals in the regional league. He then received a professional contract with Altach that ran until June 2019 in December 2017 and became part of the professionals from January 2018.

For the 2018/19 season he was awarded to the second division team SK Austria Klagenfurt . In January 2019 it was awarded to the also second-class SC Wiener Neustadt . After the loan ended, he did not return to Altach.

He returned to Turkey for the 2019/20 season and moved to fourth division club Nazilli Belediyespor .
