Volker Bauernfeind-Weinberger (born September 17, 1941 in Neuburg an der Donau ) is a freelance German painter and graphic artist .

life and work

Bauernfeind-Weinberger graduated from Descartes high school in Neuburg an der Donau. After high school and military service , he began studying electrical engineering at the Technical University of Munich in 1963. In addition, Bauernfeind-Weinberger learned a wide variety of creative arts. He studied printmaking under Leon Jonczyk at the Polish Academy in London in 1983/1984 . Initially, works were strictly black and white. When he met the painter Wilhelm Kaiser, he switched to watercolor painting , which he learned from him together with acrylic and oil painting between 1987 and 1991. In 1988/89, Bauernfeind-Weinberger continued his education in the field of color etching . Eckhard Zylla gave him further inspirations in the art of watercolor painting .

Bauernfeind-Weinberger lives and works alternately in Munich and in Gritschen near Nussdorf am Inn . He has been participating in art life in and around Munich for decades. He is a member of the “Bund Deutscher Künstler” and the 11/11 group in Munich. In addition, between 1974 and 1984 it belonged to the “Bunter Kreis” in Erding and between 1984 and 1997 to the “Münchner Grafikerverein e. V. “. In 1997 he moved to "Ring 19" in Munich, of which he was a member until 2001. Volker Bauernfeind-Weinberger took part in numerous exhibitions.

Recurring subjects are landscapes, nude studies and collages.
