Volker Gummelt
Volker Gummelt (* 1963 in Greifswald ) is a German Protestant theologian.
Life
After graduating from high school in 1982, he was a construction soldier . From 1984 to 1989 he studied theology in Greifswald and Leipzig . From 1989 to 1992 he was a PhD scholarship holder. After receiving his doctorate in 1992 as Dr. theol. from 1992 to 1997 he was a research assistant at the Chair for Church History in Greifswald. After completing his habilitation as a private lecturer in 1996/1997 , he was senior assistant at the Chair of Church History in Greifswald from 1998 to 2002. From 2002 to 2006 he was pastor at the Christ Church in Greifswald . Since 2005 he has been teaching as an adjunct professor for church history. Since 2007 he has been pastor in Neuenkirchen near Greifswald.
