Volker Lingnau

Volker Lingnau (born July 21, 1963 in Berlin ) is a German economist and university professor for corporate accounting and controlling at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern .

Life

After graduating from the Arndt-Gymnasium in Berlin in 1981 and participating in the pilot project "Foreign language-oriented introductory phase" at the Free University of Berlin , Volker Lingnau studied industrial engineering (technical field of communications engineering) at the TU Berlin . He graduated in 1988 with a degree in engineering . Then Lingnau worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Production and controlling the TU Berlin and was there in 1994 with a thesis on variation management for Dr. rer. oec. PhD . In the same year he became Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Business Administration of the University of Mannheim , where he joined in 2000 with a thesis on "The role and functions of controlling - A cognitive-decision-oriented approach" habilitation and the venia legendi received of Business Administration.

From 1998 to 2002 Lingnau was initially a guest lecturer at the Uniwersytet Zielonogórski ( Poland ) and was then a visiting professor there from 2002 to 2010 . From 2010 to 2012 Lingnau was associate professor at the Uniwersytet Zielonogórski (Poland).

Since 2002 Lingnau has been a lecturer at the Württemberg Administration and Business Academy.

Lingnau has held the chair for corporate accounting and controlling at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern since 2001. From 2007 to 2008 Lingnau was Dean and from 2008 to 2009 Vice Dean of the Department of Economics at the TU Kaiserslautern. Currently, Lingnau also Vertrauensdozent of Cusanuswerk (since 2008) and Deputy Speaker of the country's research focus "RESCUE" - Sustainable Construction (since 2008).

Act

Volker Lingnau's research focuses on conceptual questions of controlling as well as the possibilities and limits of supporting and influencing decision-making processes in organizations through the "real existing phenomenon of controlling" ("Psychological Management Accounting Research"). Lingnau is the author of numerous publications, editor of the "Contributions to Controlling Research" and "Controlling Studies" and co-editor of the "Controlling" series.
