Volker Looman

Volker Looman (* 1955 ) is a German financial analyst and journalist .

Live and act

From 1999 Looman wrote the weekly column Die Vermögensfrage in the Saturday edition of the FAZ for 16 years . This column dealt with questions of private wealth accumulation, saving, financing and protection against existential risks. With this column, which often comprised two-thirds of a page in Nordic format , Looman was considered an "institution". In 2015 he switched to the Bild newspaper . In 2018 he switched back to the FAZ and has since written a weekly financial analysis column for the Tuesday edition of the FAZ.

Looman was active as a financial analyst and journalist in Reutlingen and Stuttgart until 2019, and has worked in Berlin and Dresden since 2019 . He has four children.
