Volker Poodle

Volker Pudel (born March 1, 1944 in Bad Kreuznach ; † October 7, 2009 ) was a German nutritional psychologist .

Life

Volker Pudel studied psychology until 1969 , received his doctorate from the natural science faculty in 1972 and completed his habilitation in 1976 in the field of nutritional psychology in Göttingen. In 1982 he was appointed adjunct professor. He was also head of the nutritional psychology research center at the Center for Psychological Medicine at the University of Göttingen .

Since 1976, Volker Pudel has been a member of the Presidium of the German Nutrition Society (DGE). He developed the Pfundskur health campaign , which he is considered to have invented . His employees on the online slimming program Slimnet were criticized in part because formula products were used within the program in accordance with EU regulations to improve the success of the therapy.

From the founding of the Heinz Lohmann Foundation in 1997 until his death, he was a member of the board of trustees.

Volker Pudel died on October 7th, 2009 after a long and serious illness.

criticism

Some nutritionists question the effectiveness of the strictly low-fat diet promoted by Poodles. Consumer advocates criticize the link between the Slimnet diet program and the sale of commercial diet products ("Delemi").
