Volkert Vollmer

Volkert Vollmer (* 1967 / 1968 ) is a former German American football poker players.

career

Vollmer began playing American football in 1987. He first played for the Hamburg Dolphins , in the 1990s he joined the Hamburg Silver Eagles . In the 1993 season he became German champions with the Munich Cowboys . With the German national team, Vollmer was third in the European Championship in 1993. At the club level, he moved to the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes in 1994 .

The Vollmer used in the center position played for the Hamburg Blue Devils from 1995 to 1998 . During this time he won the German championship title with the team in 1996 and the Eurobowl in 1996, 1997 and 1998 . In the run-up to the 2000 season, Vollmer again joined the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes. In 2004 he returned to the Blue Devils roster. From 2005 Vollmer played for the Hamburg Eagles , in 2012 Vollmer , known in football circles under the nickname “Erbse”, played for the regional league team Elmshorn Fighting Pirates .

He worked as a trainer for the St. Pauli Buccaneers, in the 2008 season he moved to the Nordic Wolves in Norderstedt and was responsible for the offensive line as an assistant trainer . He was also the coach of the second team of the Blue Devils as well as in the youth work of the club, with the Hamburg Huskies and in Elmshorn.

His son Gerrik also became a competitive football player .
