Volkmar Bretschneider

Volkmar Bretschneider (born March 17, 1930 in Meißen ) is a German porcelain artist and is u. a. known for his flower and fruit painting.

Life

His training, which began in 1944 at the porcelain manufactory's drawing school in Meißen, he completed in 1949 as a porcelain painter with the rating “ very good ”. In addition to the subsequent activity in the department for wall panels, he took part in in-house competitions and was active in "artistic development work" from 1975.

On 1 October 1975 he was a member of the collective artistic development of the State Prize of the GDR .
