Volkmar Denner (born November 30, 1956 in Uhingen ) is a German manager. He is chairman of the board of management of Robert Bosch GmbH .

After graduating from high school in 1975, Denner studied physics at the University of Stuttgart , where he took the diploma exam in 1981. After a research stay in the USA , he received his doctorate in physics in 1985 from the University of Stuttgart .

In 1986 Denner began his professional career at Robert Bosch GmbH in Stuttgart as a specialist in the development of power semiconductors in the Semiconductors and Electronic Control Units division . In 1989 he became head of the development of power semiconductor technology, in 1991 he became head of the development of integrated circuits, and in 1994 he was promoted to head of sales , control unit development and system application in the engine control unit for gasoline engines .
