Volkmar W. Kübler

Volkmar Wilhelm Kübler (born August 7, 1941 in Tübingen ; † September 27, 2009 ) was a German lawyer and business and economist . Among other things, he worked in the management of Deutsche Bundesbahn and Dresdner Bank AG .

Professional activities

Kübler studied law, economics and business administration in Tübingen , Bonn and Cologne and became a member of the old Strasbourg fraternity Germania . After completing his studies, he initially worked as a lawyer in Tübingen, and from 1970 in the commercial area of ​​the Deutsche Bundesbahn. From 1988–1992 he was managing director of Deutsche Bundesbahnholding GmbH in Frankfurt am Main .

In 1992 he became director of Dresdner Bank AG, where he was initially responsible for "Press and Investor Relations" and until 1998 he was press spokesman for the Dresdner Bank Group. Then he built up the new area “Politics and Society”. At the end of August 2001 he left the company.

He was a co-founder of the business consulting company EMES GmbH. He was also managing director of Fieldstone Deutschland GmbH, a subsidiary of the London investment bank Fieldstone .

From 1988 Kübler was a board member of the Research Institute for Automotive Engineering and Vehicle Engines Stuttgart (FKFS) .

He was president of the Economic Policy Club Germany e. V. in Berlin. From 2004 he was Hungary's honorary consul for Hesse .
