history

The bank was created in 2017 from the merger of Raiffeisenbank Kürten-Odenthal eG and Volksbank Wipperfürth-Lindlar eG.

Raiffeisenbank Kürten-Odenthal

Raiffeisenbank Kürten-Odenthal eG was created in 2002 through the merger of Raiffeisenbank Odenthal eG and Raiffeisenbank Bechen - Dürscheid eG.

Raiffeisenbank Odenthal was founded in 1896 as the Odenthal savings and loan association . A branch in Schildgen was opened in 1958. In 1959 the bank moved into its first own business building. In 1961 it changed its name to Spar- und Kreditkasse Odenthal eGmbH , and in 1975 to Raiffeisenbank Odenthal eG .

The Raiffeisenbank Bechen-Dürscheid emerged from the Bechen Loan Fund Association founded in 1891 and the Dürscheider Loan Fund Association founded in 1894 . In 1896 the goods business was started. In 1952 the cooperative merged with the purchasing and sales cooperative Blissenbach and in 1962 with the savings and loan bank Biesfeld . 1962 saw the opening of the Kürten branch. In 1974, the savings and loan association Dürscheid eGmbH merged with the savings and loan association Bechen eGmbH to form Raiffeisenbank Bechen-Dürscheid eG , based in Kürten. In 1976 she took over Raiffeisenmarkt Herkenrath , and in 1978 she took over the Olpe (Kürten) branch of the Hommerich savings and loan association .

Volksbank Wipperfürth-Lindlar

Volksbank Wipperfürth-Lindlar eG was created in 1995 through the merger of Volksbank Wipperfürth eG and Raiffeisenbank Lindlar eG.

The history of Volksbank Wipperfürth eG began on January 16, 1894 with the establishment of the Hönnigethaler savings and loan association eGmuH. The Raiffeisenbank Lindlar eG had its roots in the savings and loan fund eGmuH Hommerich and was founded on May 17, 1925.
