The history of Volksbank Dreieich begins with the establishment of the "Creditkasse - registered company with unlimited liability in Langen" in 1892. In 1920 the Creditkasse was renamed Langener Volksbank eGmbH. Various mergers with other cooperative banks such as

- In 2000 the merger with Volksbank Neu-Isenburg eG follows (founded in 1860),
- In 2018, Volksbank Eppertshausen and Volksbank Dreieich merged.
