Business area

The business area is bounded in the west by the Rhine and extends from Elten in the north to Mehr in the south and Isselburg in the east.

history

The Reeser Spar- und Kreditverein was founded on February 20, 1878, and the Vrasselt savings and loan association on January 14, 1895. In 1975 the savings and loan fund Vrasselt and Raiffeisenbank Elten merged to form Raiffeisenbank Emmerich. In 1976 the Reeser Spar- und Kreditverein merged with the neighboring cooperatives Haldern , Millingen and Mehr to form Volksbank Rees. In 2001 Volksbank Rees merged with Raiffeisenbank Haffen-Mehr. This resulted in the Volksbank Emmerich-Rees eG. Another milestone for Volksbank Emmerich-Rees eG was June 30, 2014. Since that day, the bank has been the first bank in Germany to advise according to DEFINO - a standardized financial analysis for private households in accordance with DIN SPEC PAS 77222.

Agricultural contractor

As the only credit union in the Federal Republic of Germany, it has an agricultural contractor with a machine park. On December 21, 1948 the trade "wage threshing and wage plowing" was registered by the then savings and credit association eGmuH Haffen - Mehr .
