history

Volksbank Filder emerged from the merger of six independent banks. These emerged from the cooperative idea of Hermann Schulze-Delitzsch and Friedrich Wilhelm Raiffeisen .

Neuhausener Bank (Neuhausen on the Fildern)

With 92 members and a few hundred guilders initial capital, the "Spar- und Gewerbebank Neuhausen adF" was launched in Neuhausen in 1868. It was founded on the statutes of Hermann Schulze-Delitzsch and the constitution of the bank as a banking association. The founders were inspired by the hope of strengthening their economic and earning power through a solid, solidarity-based association of small craftsmen and smallholders. The first chairman of the board and director was mayor Gustav Beron. In 1903 the first competing institute was founded in Neuhausen. At the invitation of Johann Baptist Schaller, a number of people from Neuhausen came to the hall of the “Zum Saalbau” inn on November 8th and founded a “Loan Association” under the chairmanship of Schaller. At the request of the members, a paying office was set up in Harthausen in March 1933, whose management is a member of Jakob Walz, former mayor. D. took over. On October 8, the general assembly of the cooperative bank and the loan association in Neuhausen decided to merge the two institutes. On November 24, 1933, the newly established cooperative was entered in the cooperative register under the name "Neuhausener Bank eGmbH". The branch in Harthausen was opened in 1965.

Plattenhardt Cooperative Bank (Filderstadt-Plattenhardt)

The cooperative bank in Plattenhardt was founded on August 14, 1892 as the "Plattenhardt Loan Association" for farmers to help themselves. Johannes Georg Seiser, community caretaker, was elected as the first head, and school teacher Johannes Fritz was elected as chairman of the supervisory board.

Bonlander Bank (Filderstadt-Bonlanden)

On August 14, 1892, 65 citizens of the city founded the “Bonlanden Loan Association” in the hall of the Bonland town hall. The first chairman of the cooperative was the businessman Friedrich Schweizer. Other members were the mayor Christian Hörz, the innkeeper Friedrich Weinmann, the farmer Gottlieb Neuhäuser and the shepherd Christian Ramseyer. In 1955 the Bonlanden Loan Association was renamed Genossenschaftsbank Bonlanden and in 1962 Bonlander Bank. 502 members are the owners of the cooperative.

Sielminger Bank (Filderstadt-Sielmingen)

On October 1, 1894, 86 citizens of the municipalities of Ober- and Untersielmingen, which then had around 1350 inhabitants, gathered in the town hall in Untersielmingen to found the “Sielmingen Loan Association”. Schultheiss Mack was chairman of the board from 1894 to 1910.

Stettener Bank (Leinfelden-Echterdingen Stetten)

On January 23, 1918, 37 Stetten farmers, craftsmen and workers came together in the Gasthaus Krone to found the “Stetten Loan Association”. From their midst, they elect Ludwig Groß as chairman of the board and David Schlecht as chairman of the supervisory board. The first computer is Jakob Koch.
