The Volksbank eG Hamelin was a regionally operating German cooperative bank based in Hameln .

history

On February 25, 1925, 33 citizens of the city of Hameln founded the Hamelner Bankverein eGmbH for the medium-sized population. At first, the bank was housed in a small room on the Hamelin horse market, but a year later it moved to the new craftsman's house on Kastanienwall, where it was located until March 1951. The bank then moved into the new building in the new headquarters on Osterstrasse. In 1940 the Hamelner Bankverein was renamed Volksbank Hameln.

In 1950 it already had over 900 members with over 1000 shares .

On June 25, 1970 Volksbank Hameln merged with Volksbank Bodenwerder.

In May 1987 the members of the Oldendorfer Volksbank decided to merge with the Volksbank Hameln.

In August 1998 the Volksbank Hameln merged with the Volksbank Bad Pyrmont-Emmerthal retrospectively to January 1st, 1998 to form the Volksbank Hameln-Pyrmont .
