Individual institutes

Münsingen

In the spring of 1864, citizens of Münsingen founded a Volksbank. In 1934 a branch was opened in Zwiefalten .

Double folds

The former savings and loan banks Aichstetten, Baach, Mörsingen, Upflamör, Huldstetten-Geisingen, Sonderbuch and Gauingen were founded between 1890 and 1912 and merged between 1969 and 1972 to form Raiffeisenbank Zwiefalten eG. This merged in 1981 with the savings and loan bank Huldstetten-Geisingen. The resulting Raiffeisenbank Zwiefalten eG then merged with Volksbank Münsingen eG in 1992.

Hayingen

The former savings and loan banks Hayingen , Ehestetten and Hundersingen were also founded between 1890 and 1912. In 1972 the merger to form Raiffeisenbank Hayingen eG took place. In 1994 there was a merger with Volksbank Münsingen eG.

Gomadingen

Roman stone

The former savings and loan funds Böhringen, Donstetten, Zainingen and Bad Urach -Hengen were founded between 1890 and 1906. In 1972 the merger to form Raiffeisenbank Römerstein eG took place. This in turn merged on January 1, 2004 with Volksbank Münsingen eG.

Newer development

At the beginning of November 2013, quarrels at Volksbank Münsingen apparently led to resignations in the supervisory board after the two previous members of the management board were dismissed and even to public prosecution investigations. The public prosecutor's office in Tübingen has been investigating Werner Leichtle, the former spokesman for the board of Volksbank Münsingen, since mid-September. A report received later in connection with the granting of loans against the board member Bückle, who has meanwhile been removed from office, is also being examined. According to the GEA report, it was “heard in the industry” that an unsuccessful generation change with different views on banking was supposed to play a significant role in the quarrels. According to a report by Alb Boten Münsingen ( Südwest Presse ) on November 9, 2013, the search for successors for the departing board members is on the way.

On November 25, 2013, both previous board members Christian Bückle and Jadranka Werner were relieved of their offices. In order to ensure the bank's ability to act, the two authorized signatories Michaela Pöhler (daughter of the former board member Werner Leichtle) and Marc Auer have been assigned to represent the slain board members until two interim board members who have already been found can come to Münsingen. On November 28, 2013 new allegations became known: According to a report by the Alb Boten, a house in Münsingen from a renovation case is said to have been sold well below its value and not against the highest bid; According to this newspaper report, the bank shows a loss of 426,263 euros.

In extraordinary and turbulent meetings of representatives on December 11, 2013 and January 15, 2014, the management board members were reinstated, the remaining 7 supervisory board members voted out and 11 new supervisory board members elected. The board members Jürgen Bunzendahl and Michael Mayer, who had been appointed in the meantime, left as of December 31, 2013 and February 28, 2014 respectively.

Due to the overall business and sales situation, Volksbank Münsingen is subject to special (prevention) support and monitoring by the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative Association and the BVR security scheme.
