history
In 1867 the Säckingen commercial bank was founded. In 1938 the merger with Volksbank Waldshut to form Volksbank Waldshut-Säckingen eGmbH. In 1950 Volksbank Säckingen eGmbH was founded. In 1971 the merger with Volksbank Wehr to form Volksbank Rhein-Wehra took place. In 2000 there was a merger with Raiffeisenbank Dogern-Laufenburg and Hotzenwaldbank eG.

The business area extends across the district from Rheinfelden (Baden) and the surrounding villages along the Rhine east to Dogern and north with the branch in Bernau in the Black Forest to the southern Black Forest .
