The People's Interest Association of Thuringia , abbreviated as VIBT , was a small party active in Thuringia . She took there to the state elections of 1999 and 2004 in part, but the vote did not come as results of 0.9% and 0.3% addition.
Participation in elections and mandates
In the Kyffhäuserkreis , the VIBT won 5.6 percent of the votes in the 2004 local elections and thus three seats in the district council. In the local elections in 2009 , he won 4.1 percent and two seats with a loss of votes.
Furthermore, the VIBT won 1.7 percent of the votes and a seat on the city council in the 2009 local elections in Sondershausen , the district town of the Kyffhäuserkreis. In Niederbösa he achieved an absolute majority with 52.4 percent and four seats, in Oberheldrungen he achieved 22.0 percent and two seats, in Gorsleben 21.4 percent and also two seats and in Oldisleben 20.9 percent and three seats.
In the state elections in Thuringia in 2009 , the VIBT supported the Free Voters of Thuringia , who won 3.9 percent of the vote nationwide.
In 2010 the party was removed from the list of political parties of the Federal Returning Officer.
Political positions
The VIBT is primarily active in local politics in the Kyffhäuserkreis and is committed to combating unemployment and increasing the attractiveness of the region for residents and visitors. At the same time, the VIBT also represents populist positions, in particular by accusing the "established parties" and the administration of lack of transparency, self-interest and inaction.
